Midweek Mahjong Open Play

Join us for American Mahjong Open Play on Wednesdays at Brightside Cafe in Buford. We are a fun, friendly group of players. We play to win of course, but we cheer for others when they beat us to it.
FAQ's:
Is there a fee to play?
No charge to play, but we hope you will buy a drink or nibble to support the cafe which employs adults with special abilities.
Who brings tiles?
We like to give everyone a chance to bring their favorite set to play. Everyone brings their own card.
Who runs the group?
Joyful Mahjong coordinates the group. We have a Group Me set up that we communicate through. Please contact Angela with Joyful to be added.
Do you play for points or money?
No -- we are a social group that plays for fun. Often you may win a trinket for your mahjong.
Can you teach me to play?
Yes and No. Open play is for players that know how to play -- or at least have had a class and are ready to play. We are happy to help newer players, but if you have no experience at all, we are happy to get you signed up for lessons and get you ready for open play.
