Come do a fun and Spooky night hike on Hallowe'en! The hike will be a short and sweet hike, approx 2 to 2.5 hours and 8km via the Cemetery, Moore Park and Evergreen Brickworks. Perfect for beginners.
What to bring in your backpack:
- water bottle
- wear running shoes or sneakers as we will walk mostly on flat trails
- flashlight/headlamp optional
- and most importantly, wear a costume!
I will be giving out treats to everyone in costume 🍫
MEETING SPOT:
Meet by 6:45pm at the Yorkminister Park Baptist Church.
Address is: 1585 Yonge St.
Driving: Parking available on the side streets
TTC: closest subway is Yonge and St. Clair (6 min walk)
The route:
We'll meet up at the park just in front of Yorkminster Park Baptist Church. We'll head toward the Mount Pleasant Cemetery and across the Beltline, through the Cemetery before taking the Beltline trail down the Moore Park Ravine to the Brick Works for a brief break overlooking the beautiful city views. Resuming our trek, we'll hike toward David Balfour Park before returning to our Yonge/St. Clair starting point. The hike is mostly flat, combination of paved and forested trails, and it will be dark towards the end.
HOW TO BOOK YOUR SPOT:
The fee to join this event is $22 before 6pm Sunday Oct 29 or $25 after. INCLUDE your NAME and HALLOWEEN HIKE in the message.* All fees go towards the amount of work involved in running and organizing events for this group. Fees are final.
Please e-transfer to [email protected] and I will add you to the list! Also include the one time annual fee of $7.99 for events in 2024 if this is your first event in 2024.

Meetup fees help support in the extensive work involved in planning, organizing, and coordinating events for this group. * Hikes are organized by a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and the fee is affordable and lower than what other organizations charge for a day hike ($150+).
I provide a whatsapp group for important announcements and updates. Link will be provided in the event. I take photos of the event and share them in the chat after.
Carpool requests
I provide a carpool forum in the event where drivers and passengers can arrange with each other for rides. Please don't involve the hike leader in carpool arrangements. It is the responsibility of each hiker to find their own transportation. You can rent a car, invite a friend, co-worker, or family member who drives to the event, or post in the event for a carpool.
Cancelation policy:
Meetup fees are final (no refunds once a spot has been booked and confirmed). Cancel 1 week (7 days) before an event for a credit towards another event. If the organizer has to reschedule an event for any reason, credit will be applied to the recheduled hike or kept on file for future use).
Fees are not negotiable. This is the number one group for regular scheduled and organized hikes in Ontario, offering safe and enjoyable hikes for a fraction of the cost of other organizations.
