Dear Midsummer Proggers!Midsummer Prog 2026 is shaping up to be another very special weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, June 20 & 21, we return with a richly varied line-up that moves through the many colours of progressive music: from classic concept-album grandeur to modern heaviness, cinematic soundscapes, neo-prog warmth, theatrical rock, and adventurous new voices.
And this time, the celebration starts early. On Friday, June 19, we kick off with a special pre-party evening — not an extra festival day, but a great concert night where we can already raise a glass together and toast to a beautiful Midsummer Prog weekend with you, our beloved prog family.
For the pre-party, we welcome:
Norwegian prog talent Avkrvst
Dutch atmospheric prog from A Liquid Landscape
Regressive Hypnosis, bringing the spirit and technical fire of Dream Theater to the stage
And for the festival itself, we’ve once again secured an outstanding selection of artists:

Tesseract (21/6), one of the defining modern progressive metal bands, bringing their massive grooves, precision, and atmosphere to Midsummer Prog

Daniel Cavanagh (20/6), main songwriter of Anathema, playing a special acoustic set
Bruce Soord (21/6), the main creative force behind The Pineapple Thief
Polish prog heroes Amarok (21/6) and Quidam (20/6)
Franck Carducci & The Fantastic Squad (21/6), bringing their theatrical 70s-inspired rock show full of colour, energy, and imagination
Dutch eccentrics Blowbeat (20/6), inspired by Zappa
