Join us for Midsommer's Eve Cèilidh (party) at MacIain's! Midsommer is a traditional Celtic festival of the summer (near the summer solstice, the longest day of the year). Celtic cultures regard it as the middle of summer, beginning on May Day. It was traditionally reckoned to fall on 23–24 June, which was Christianized as Saint John's Eve (the Nativity of John the Baptist). It is traditionally celebrated with outdoor gatherings that include bonfires, maypole dancing and feasting.
Clay Babies is returning to heighten the party with Celtic folk music. A bonfire will be on the patio. Traditional cuisine will be served.
