Australia’s favourite free-range bluegrass band, Midnight Chicken, and Southland’s soulful, nostalgic songwriter, Jenny Mitchell, join forces for a special run of shows in Southern NZ.Known for powerful songs wrapped in equal parts grace and grit, Jenny kicked off 2026 opening for global superstars The Lumineers after supporting the iconic Kasey Chambers on a 32 date Australian tour in 2025. Now based in Melbourne, Jenny is returning to some of her favourite southern venues for this co-headline tour.
Hatched and hand-raised in Newcastle, NSW, Midnight Chicken's wild and wonderful take on bluegrass has been turning heads across Australia. Blending tradition with a playful edge, their self-titled debut album will connect with fans of country, folk, bluegrass & everything in between.
Together, this winter tour will deliver a night of storytelling, string-band magic, and a little bit of mischief.
