Celebrating arts and culture with the many murals of Midland. Join us September 27 from 10:00am-5:00pm and take a guided or self-guided tour of some of the 30+ outdoor murals. There will be live music all day long with talented local musicians. Check out local artists and artisan booths, food trucks, make-and-take activities, as well as artistic opportunities to get involved in.
At our inaugural Midland Mural Festival in 2024, festival goers participated in the creation of TWO brand new community murals to be installed downtown Midland.
Midland is home to one of Ontario's largest outdoor art galleries. If you take a stroll down King Street, nearly everywhere you look you can see stunning unique artwork. And it isn't just in our downtown core! We have outdoor art displayed in Little Lake Park, as well as our Harbour, and Midland Bay Landing. We have laneways full of a wide variety of custom commissioned art pieces.
We've got something to brag about. The "Huron Native and Jesuit Priest at Sainte-Marie" mural measures 80 feet by 250 feet, making it the largest outdoor historic mural in North America - and it is located at our beautiful waterfront on Georgian Bay!
