Royal Northern Sinfonia and their Music Director, Dinis Sousa are joined by the exceptionally talented young violinist Hana Chang on the first evening of Middlesbrough Classics series.
Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto doesn’t hang about. It’s straight in with the good stuff – bold, lyrical, and full of feeling. It’s a dream for soloists and a total treat for the rest of us. Then comes Schubert’s Great Symphony – big-hearted, beautifully balanced, and bursting with energy. Soaring slow movements meet fast ones that bounce and charge ahead. Grand, graceful, and a cracking way to end the night.
This concert includes a free pre-concert talk at 6.30pm in The Old Fire Station.
