Journey Studio is coming to EMA Fall 2027!
Are you curious about studio life for middle school learners in Journey Studio?
Attend our information session to learn about our mission, philosophy, and beliefs—and how Journey Studio challenges learners to set meaningful goals, pursue apprenticeships, manage their time, pursue rigorous work, collaborate with others, and grow into increasingly independent, self-directed young people.
Come meet us, explore the studio, and discover what middle school can look like when learners are trusted with both freedom and responsibility.
We love meeting curious families.
------------
What is Journey Studio?
Journey Studio is a learner-driven community where young people take increasing ownership of their education and their lives.
The middle school years are a time for young people to begin asking bigger questions: Who am I? What am I good at? What matters to me? What kind of person do I want to become? How can I use my gifts to contribute to the world?
Journey Studio learners set goals, manage their time, pursue challenging academic work, participate in hands-on Quests, engage in discussions that require critical thinking, and work alongside their peers to build and maintain a strong studio culture.
