The Gilded Dragon cordially invites you to our one-day tournament for the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game. We, the hosting parties, request the pleasure of your company at our store in Wilson, NC on January 17th, 2026.
Event Details:
One-day, 600 point Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game tournament
Three games on Saturday..
Round length is 120 minutes (2 hours) per game.
A single 600 point list
24 players maximum.

Prize Support:
Trophies, product and/or store credit will be given for the following categories: Best Painted Army, 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Best Sportsman, and The Spoon.
Scenario Details:
4’x4’ tables will be pre-set up with terrain. Therefore, no modifications to terrain will be allowed without the tournament organizer’s (TO) permission.
Scenarios will be selected from the 2025 Middle Earth SBG Matched Play Guide.
Scoring during the tournament will be per the following guidelines: Major Win = 4 tournament points, Minor Win = 3 tournament points, Draw = 2 tournament points, Minor Loss = 1 tournament points, Major Loss = 0 tournament points. Victory points must also be tracked during each game as this will be used for tie breakers.
Summary of VP to TP Match Scoring:
Major Win/Loss - Win/Loss by 7+ Margin of VP**
Minor Win/Loss - Other Win/Loss on Victory Points
Draw - Tied Victory Points
** In order for a win to be considered “Major,” the winning player must win by a margin of at least 7 VP
Lists must be submitted via email to [email protected] on or before January 5th, 2026, in TXT or HTML file format. Preferred format is text output from Tabletop Admiral
You should bring a hard copy of your list to the event.
List Restrictions:
Players are required to bring a single 600 points list.
Banned models: None.

SMEGL Event:
This event will be part of the Southeastern Middle Earth Gaming League. This will be a 40 points event as described in the league's constitution. For more information about the league please visit the Southeastern Middle-Earth Gaming League Facebook page.
