10:00 AM until 12:30 PM - SKETCH
12:30 PM - RECONVENE to share our work, make introductions, announcements and take a group photo. (Location to be determined the day of event)

ADMISSION: Free
PARKING: Parking in the beach parking lot is recommended. The metered parking rate is $2 per hour. There are entrances on both sides of the pier on 8th Street and 10th Street. Click on link below for a map. You may find free street parking, but it will be limited. Please read signs carefully to avoid being ticketed.

ABOUT THE LOCATION: Seal Beach Pier is a historic landmark in California, known for its scenic views and community significance. Originally built in 1906, the pier has undergone several reconstructions due to storm damage. The pier stretches approximately 1,600 feet into the Pacific Ocean, making it the second longest wooden pier in California. It serves as a popular spot for fishing, walking and enjoying ocean views.
MORE INFORMATION: You will find lots of great subjects to sketch at and on the pier. Or you can cross the street and sketch storefronts on Main Street, the site of lots of shops and restaurants.
WHAT TO BRING:
All skill levels are welcome whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting to explore your creativity. Bring your favorite sketching media, an easel if desired and maybe a folding chair or stool if you need to sit. If you’re new to sketching, your equipment can be as simple as a pencil and a sketchbook!
