Sometimes the summer brings with it a lot of uplifting energy and not enough opportunities to step back, slow down and reset. This is your chance to take two hours to slow down, reset, and reconnect with yourself. This special class weaves together yoga, deep rest, and guided meditation to support both body and mind. We’ll start with the dynamic vinyasa style of yoga before moving through a series of restorative poses, breathwork / pranayama and ending with a yoga nidra practise.
We’ll close the practice with yoga nidra, often called yogic sleep. This guided meditation allows your body and brain to access theta and delta brainwaves, which are responsible for the healing and restoration that happens in your body during deep sleep. Activating delta brainwaves during yoga nidra allows your mind and body to rest while you're awake.
Please bring with you:
- A yoga mat
- A bolster (if you have one) or a cushion from home
- A blanket
- A warm jumper
- A bottle of water
This class is suitable for all abilities. I offer plenty of options so there is always something for everyone.
