Mid Shires IOSH Community - Cleaning: easier said than done

In general, the most informed staff in any situation are the cleaning operatives. They see, hear and understand far more than they are credited for. They are the frontline of public health, making sure workplaces are clean and hygienic for users. They are also much more than this, with skills that often go unrecognised or unused.

In terms of Health and Safety, they can be your best advocate or your biggest challenge. Isn’t it time we recognised their potential and used it to promote good practice?

This session will explore:

• How to use this workforce to strengthen Health and Safety protocols on site
• What steps should be taken and how to implement them simply across multiple properties
• Key considerations for cleaning safely and effectively
• How small changes can bring big results, including cost savings, time savings and improved standards
• Any cleaning-related questions the audience would like answered

With the BICSc (The British Institute of Cleaning Science) at their training centre, learn more about cleaning standards and the value of cleaning operatives.

Timings:

• Arrival and networking: 18:00–18:30
• Presentation: from 18:30
