Prevent 2 Protect is a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind initiative designed to address one of the most urgent public safety issues facing schools today: targeted violence. Championed in the wake of the devastating mass attacks at Oxford High School and Michigan State University, Prevent 2 Protect was implemented to prevent targeted violence in K-12 schools while ensuring that high-risk youth receive the support, intervention, and community connection needed to change the trajectory of their lives, placing them on positive, prosocial paths.

Prevent 2 Protect brings together schools, mental health professionals, law enforcement, and community partners to provide assessment, consultation, training, and coordinated, individualized intervention, with a focus on prevention rather than reaction. By combining early identification, intensive support, and community collaboration, Prevent 2 Protect is not only transforming outcomes for vulnerable youth and families, but also helping create safer schools and stronger communities across Michigan.

Parking: There is a large lot adjacent to the Michigan Health & Hospital Association's building. MHA is graciously allowing us use of their space. Guests will enter through the main door and will need to check in with front receptionist.
