MID MICHIGAN ROUND UP 2026
AUGUST 14, 15, 16, 2026
FARMLANE CAMPGROUND, GRASS LAKE, MICHIGAN WATERLOO RECREATION AREA
Three days of demonstrating and teaching you as an owner, how to build a better relationship with your horse or mule! Jacob will show you how to make a willing partner and give you the skills you need to progress and be safe! Softness and a willing attitude will be the key to your success!
Everything we do in this clinic will be for the specific purpose of assisting you in dealing with whatever issue you personally may be having with your equine.
**Groundwork, Saddle and Trail work**
Groundwork: Will consist of a few basic exercises to gain control and respect. You will learn tools to help them respond in a quiet and soft manner and make them safer and more enjoyable on the trail.
Saddle Work: We will transfer the exercises from our groundwork sessions to the saddle and continue with a quiet and soft approach. We will work on safety and confidence, while maneuvering simulated trail challenges and obstacles.
Trail Work: We will touch base on trail etiquette and again, transfer our arena work to the trail. We will work on safely passing and changing positions on the trail, maneuvering obstacles and building confidence.
Our number one priority for this clinic is SAFETY!
While we are on clinic time, Jacob's attention will be focused on those who are participants. When on the trail ride, participants will ride up front and together where he can coach them as needed. Anybody that wants to follow is welcome, but you are kindly asked to stay behind to allow him to efficiently and safely coach and assist those who are participating in the clinic.
