Born and raised in Quincy, IL, Michèle Crider is one of the preeminent dramatic sopranos of her generation with more than three decades on the world’s leading opera stages. Known for her powerful voice and emotional depth, Crider’s illustrious career has taken her to the world’s most prestigious opera stages, including the Vienna State Opera, La Scala, Royal Opera House in London, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Crider is currently professor of voice at the prestigious University Mozarteum in Salzburg. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness a world-class artist in an intimate hometown setting at First Union Congregational church on November 8.
