Michigan Mandolin Orchestra 2025 Holiday Concert

LUDINGTON, Mich. — The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) is excited to welcome the Michigan Mandolin Orchestra for a special holiday concert Saturday, Dec. 6. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with the performance beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Founded in 2018, the Michigan Mandolin Orchestra is the first ensemble of its kind in the state in over a century. The group brings together talented musicians from across Michigan to celebrate the unique, shimmering sound of the mandolin family. Known for their dynamic concerts, the orchestra performs a diverse repertoire ranging from classical and traditional mandolin music to contemporary works and holiday favorites. Their December performance at LACA will feature a festive program designed to capture the spirit of the season.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, with a special early-bird presale price of just $15 for tickets purchased before Oct. 1.

LACA encourages community members to purchase tickets early, not only to secure the best price but also to show support for live performances in Ludington. Ticket sales directly benefit both the performers and the art center, helping sustain vibrant arts programming and cultural opportunities in Mason County.

“Every ticket purchased is more than just admission to a great concert,” said Andrew Skinner, Executive Director of LACA. “It’s an investment in the arts, in our community, and in the cultural life that makes Ludington such a wonderful place to live.”

The Ludington Area Center for the Arts is a 501c3 Not for Profit organization that strives to foster a community where arts and culture bring us together, feed the creative spirit, and fuel community growth. Harrison St. in downtown Ludington, Mich., the art center is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. LACA offers monthly exhibits, with first Friday of the month opening receptions; and a wide assortment of performances and workshops.
