Anmeldere har bl.a. skrevet:
“The album BLUE also present very touching Danish folk songs. This creates a beautiful image,- family cohesion in uncertain times. Ideal to calm down in this hectic time, - to sit back and relax and chill out”. Windkanal, Germany
“This musically delightful recording is an experience well beyond just what the ear gathers.” Music Web International (UK)
“This is beautiful, often haunting music, fabulously recorded, and fully worthy of investigation” Fanfare (US)

New tour program:
At Michala Petri and Lars Hannibal's concerts in 2024, the audience can experience a new programme. The duo has put together a program with an emphasis on the melodic, which shows the common denominators of music from many ages, and how musical moods can be the same in a several thousand year old Chinese melody and a completely new work, written for the duo by Poul Ruders. Music by Dowland, Bach and Vivaldi will be set against more recent pieces by Carl Nielsen, Thomas Laub, Piazzolla, Poul Ruders and Axel Borup-Jørgensen, who would have been 100 years old this year, as well as pieces by Michala Petri and Lars Hannibal. In some of the works, the contemporary composers will reflect themselves in the old music or use it as a basis. The concert is aimed at everyone, and the audience is led through the concert with short introductions along the way.
About the Duo:
As a duo, Michala Petri and Lars Hannibal have more than 30 years of experience and have performed over 2,000 concerts at leading festivals and concert halls in Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan, Korea and China - e.g. at Lincoln Center, New York, London's South Bank Center and Wigmore Hall, Suntory Hall in Tokyo and the Forbidden City in Beijing. They met each with their own musical background and experience, which they have managed to unite in a strong interaction that is constantly developing. Many composers have written and are writing works for the Duoen, who also arrange music from various genres themselves. Lars Hannibal is also active as a composer again after a break of several years, and in recent years has released the album BLUE with his own compositions, as well as MIRROR OF THE PAST inspired by poems from the Tang dynasty. Michala Petri´s latest activities include several premieres of new works, e.g. Poul Ruder's concerto for recorder and string orchestra together with Kremerata Baltica, a first performance by Thomas Clausen, as well as new recordings of both new works and baroque music.
The duo has released 8 albums together, and i.a. received the German Grammy, OPUS KLASSIK.
