What happens at MIBBB Fest?

An all-cosplay party for all humanity (21+) on the shore of Puget Sound; music; more quirky events; flying dogs; storytelling; amazing shwag; and more. 2026 is a "SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION." Events will take place on June 3 and June 20-21, 2026.

MIBBB Fest Bash - Saturday, 6/20/26 - The Men in Black Birthday Bash Feat. Colleen Rafferty Alien Abductee Lookalike Contest

2. When: Saturday, 6/20/26,. 5:30-9:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:30; program begins with the “Great Synchronization” countdown at 6:22 sharp!).

The Bash” you know and love meets last year's hit comedy event, the alien abductee lookalike contest, followed by a DJ'd dance party. Whether you come as an MIB, a Rafferty (Colleen or Carl), or an alien, this is the cosplay party that celebrates the 1947 start of it all! Why the fuss?

On June 22, 1947, one day after Harold Dahl saw six flying discs of Maury Island, Washington, he encountered history’s first alleged “men in black.” And unknowingly launched a mythological and pop culture juggernaut we all know today. So, each year, on the anniversary of the first “men in black” warning, MIBBB Fest celebrates the event - in “black-and-white” - on the shores of Puget Sound, in the sunset shadow of Maury Island.
