MAGNETO WAS RIGHT! Or was he? Miami Roller Derby is hosting a bout to settle the battle between the X-Men and The Brotherhood of Mutants.Miami Roller Derby, Gold Coast Derby Grrls, and skaters from teams across Florida are coming together for an open gender mixed scrimmage to determine once and for all how to address the growing threat from humankind.
On Saturday, July 27th, come to MUTANT MAYHEM to see an X-Men themed roller derby bout! MRD and GCDG will be mixing it up with skaters from Fort Myers, Magic City Misfits, Revolution Roller Derby, and more to battle it out as the X-Men vs. The Brotherhood of Mutants.
Dress as your favorite X character to show support for your team! Doors will open at 6:00 PM and the game will begin at 7:00 PM after the National Anthem and a short demonstration of how roller derby is played. Arrive early to get some shopping done in our vendor village comprised of local business owners.
Charles Xavier isn't the only one with an interest in helping gifted youngsters. Miami Roller Derby will be collecting school supplies and monetary donations for our Skate to Educate campaign to support Lotus House Miami. Lotus House offers various types of assistance to displaced women, youth and children. Your donations will provide beneficiary children with essential supplies like uniforms, books, and backpacks for the upcoming school year.
