Miami Hiking Club x Baynanza

We'll be meeting at East Greynolds Park to do a cleanup of the shores of the Oleta River as part of Miami-Dade County’s Baynanza, an annual countywide community clean-up event. We will be walking along the shores of the kayak boat launch area and walking in and out of the mangroves at East Greynolds Park.

Please note that parking inside the park costs $8.27 for the entire day. Payment can only be made through the PayByPhone mobile application. Please consider carpooling!

We will be meeting in the parking lot for the “East” Greynolds Park area with the kayak launch, right by the Snake Creek Canal. East Greynolds Park is located along the Oleta River Corridor and is situated on the western bank of Maule Lake – a former rock-mining pit that is connected via the Oleta River to Biscayne Bay.

Remember to bring plenty of water and sun protection and wear good walking shoes!

¡Hola hikers!

Nuestra próxima reunión será el sábado 12 de abril de 2025 a las 9:00 a.m. Nos reuniremos en Greynolds Park para limpiar la costa de Oleta River como parte del evento Baynanza, organizado por Miami-Dade County. Vamos a caminar por el agua y los manglares recogiendo basura para mejorar el ecosistema y el parque. 

Importante: Estacionamiento dentro del parque tiene un costo de $8.27 por todo el dia, y solo se puede realizar por medio de la aplicacion mobil PayByPhone. 

Nota nos reuniremos en el parque se llama East Greynolds Park, donde hay los entradas por kayaks y barcos.  El parque es parte del corridor de Oleta River y al oeste parte de Maule Lake, que fue excavado como parte de una operación de mina histórica, y se conecta al Biscayne Bay por Oleta River. 

¡Recuerda traer mucha agua y protección solar y usar buenos zapatos para caminar!
