Miami Fiber Triennial 2026 Fiber Activation: Repair with Care

Hands-on community workshop inspired by Sarah Laing’s A Republic in Threads. Participants will explore weaving, visible mending, and textile repair using reclaimed clothing and materials. Through collaborative making, the workshop reflects on care, labor, community, and repair as both a practical skill and a social act. No prior experience required. Participants will create small woven or mended panels while engaging in conversation, reflection, and shared creative practice.
