ababoonsass drags itself outta retirement one last time! A matinee show with legendary California/Nevada band M.I.A.. They released some classic melodic hardcore from 1981 through to 1987 and then split. A reunion was made in the 2000's to celebrate the life and memory of their singer Mike Conley, who tragically died. This is no cash-in, this is the respect driven original band who still have something to offer. Support comes from French post hardcore band The Bleakness, with their moody, yet upbeat vibe. Local class act Mutiny with their upbeat, beefy melodic punk rock with bone... trombone that is! Also playing are very special guests The Saffs, local legends who return to return again! I last saw them supporting CH3 in 2024, and as a band I used to watch in the mid 90s, they are still on it and at it. Super-catchy pop punk, with indie flashes and traces of gutter glam sleaze. This is a matinee show that will start at 3pm and be done and dusted by 6.30pm! It is all ages, so kids and well behaved OAPS can come and hang out. Oscar's Lockdown Pizza will be opening early, so there will be great food to order at the best pub in town. ababoonsass shows are a safe place and welcome everyone, except nasty people, they are barred for life and barred from my life.
Under 16's are free entry! But must be in the company of a so-called responsible adult.
