Blending the lines between contemporary folk, electro/ambient, soul and jazz, Mia Petra is a song maker and producer based in Muloobinba/Newcastle whose unwavering genre-fluidity conjures a playful space that is both nuanced and refreshingly supple.
Her sound is best described as lush, donning harmonically dense vocal arrangements, further embellished with hand-sampled electro-acoustic sonic landscapes which offer a captivating blend of catharsis and innovation.
After 5 years of captivating audiences nationwide, and a recent successful inaugural tour along the southeast coast of Australia, Mia is currently working on her debut 10 - track self-produced album set to release in late 2024, beginning with single Big Heavy Big.
