2025 is in the books, and were coming into 2026 strong ready to keep creating art and community in MHK! We are a community of songwriters that meet up monthly to connect and share songs!January prompt- Starting with the "Where"
For this month, I want you to first choose a place or location ( I would recommend zooming in on a specific place and avoid broad locations as that could make things more difficult.) Once you've chosen a place, I want you to journal what comes to mind. Any stories, memories, people that the place makes you think of. Think about your senses as well, writing down what you see, hear, smell, how it makes you feel. Once you you get going, it should lead you to what the song is really about.
As always, I want to remind you the prompt is a tool to get you going, and not a requirement! If you already have an idea your working on, you are welcome to disregard the prompt.
