Mezečina is a Los Angeles-based vocal group stretching the boundaries of crunchy and melodic folk music from Eastern Europe and beyond. The group was formed during the pandemic by Liseli Walan (vocals, percussion), Justine Kragen (vocals, guitar, percussion), Liana Sol (vocals), and Dawn Lunsford
(vocals, guitar, percussion). Featuring a mixture of a cappella and songs accompanied by guitar and percussion, these seasoned singers and musicians have performed separately and together in a number of world and pop music groups including Nevenka, Savina, Vermouth, Ursa Minors, Lava Diva, and more. Their stellar singing and musical blend is something quite captivating.
