Join me as we travel through central Mexico this October 27th-November 3rd for 8 days 7 nights.
INCLUDES:
-4 Nights of lodging in Mexico City at Sevilla Palace and City Express Aeropuerto (or similar)
-1 night of lodging in Mineral del Chico, Hgo at Hotel Casa Zuli (or similar)
-1 Night of lodging in Zacatlan, Puebla at Hotel Posada Don Ramon

**All rooms are double occupancy with two double beds. If you are traveling as a couple or with a friend, let us know to make sure we pair you together. For our SOLO travelers, don't worry, we will match you with another adventure seeking friend to share a room**
EXPERIENCES:
- VIP Mexican gondola ride in Xochimilco accompanied by a beautiful catrina, listen to spooky folk tale stories, learn how to prepare ancestral mezcal and savor delicious traditional dishes.
- Visit Mexico´s largest cemetery, Panteon de Dolores, the resting place for many notable Mexicans including Diego Rivera.
- Dinner @ La casa de los Azulejos
- Guided tour of the Teotihuacán Pyramids
- Eat in one of the most unique restaurants in the area: La Cueva Teotihuacán
- Visit a donkey sanctuary and have the opportunity to pet and feed them.
- Stop at the Basilica of Guadalupe, one of the most important churches in the Catholic religion.
- Visit national park El Chico and it's beautiful illuminated hanging bridges. (Night hike at the bridges is optional)
- Coyoacan Day of the Dead festival: Catrina face painting, admire the alters, walk along the lively streets, try delicious street food, explore the market and enter the beautiful cathedral.
- Visit the colonial mining town of Real del Monte and shop for souvenirs.
- Learn how to make your own paste ( a local delicacy brought by English miners)
- Create our own Day of the Dead alter. Learn the cultural significance and symbolism honoring the memory of our deceased loved ones.
- Visit the town of Zacatlan in the state of Puebla and its famous skybridge giving you sweeping views of Barranca de los Jilgueros. Admire the mosaic murals and monumental clock decorated by beautiful flowers.
- Go for a hike through the forests stopping along the way to admire the Tuliman waterfall in the state of Puebla.
- Eat mole and walk around the artisanal market at the capital city of Puebla
- Visit the archeological site of Cholula and the worlds largest pyramid (by volume)
- Guided tour of the historic downtown center of Mexico City. Some of our stops may include: Exotic food market, Zocalo (main square), Catedral Metropolitana, Templo Mayor, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Palacio de Correos and Torre Latinoamericana.
- Visit the Castillo of Chapultepec. Once used for royalty now serving as the national museum of history.
- Visit the Frida Kahlo Museum

** This itinerary was designed to ensure you have the best and safest possible time at the annual Day of the Dead festivities. It includes activities occurring throughout the entire day, allowing you to experience the chaos of the city and the calmness and breathtaking landscapes of the countryside.
Mexico City hosts its own parade between late October and early November, exact dates are not set until a few days before the event!
Due to its unpredictable scheduling and NOT being able to guarantee attendance, we've included other magical experiences that allow you to fully embrace what Dia de los Muertos is all about! **

** Road closures, unexpected site closures, traffic, weather and any unforeseen events that might put in risk your safety might affect the planned itinerary. We will do everything in our hands to stick to our itinerary as possible.
**This trip includes many amazing activities. Some of which require early morning pickups in order for us to take advantage of our trip to the fullest. You will have the option to opt out of activities deem you prefer to stay back and rest or simply don't want to participate.
** We will have moments of free time to relax on most days but this trip is packed with breathtaking activities happening throughout the entire day. We have some flexibility so while we will be out and about, we can always stop and catch our breath if ever needed! **

Being able to go up and down steps on your own is required. Being able to walk 1 mile (with or without stops) is required. More strenuous activities like hiking to Tuliman Waterfall (25min) and the hanging bridges are optional (1.5miles)
Interested in arriving the day before? There's tons we can do! Lucha libre match is at 5:00pm on Sundays. We can get drinks at a rooftop, visit a museum, go on a city bus tour, take a cooking class, visit artisan markets, go on a street food tour..the options are endless! Plus you'd have the whole morning on Monday to keep exploring!
