About this Event
For this year's Pride in London, we will be marking our 40th ruby anniversary in style by tapping our heels together three times with a fabulous ‘METRO’s Wonderful Land of Oz' theme!
To ensure this theme truly comes to life and celebrates our rich history, community and LGBTQ+ culture, we want to create fabulous Ozian-themed accessories and costumes that can be worn by folks marching with us in this year's parade.
The free workshops will be led by our friends at Staying Out and supported by the METRO Charity team. You can embrace your creativity by constructing your own outfit or by making one or all of our fabulous designs, including a sparkly Tin Man fascinator and a yellow brick road hat! All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring some of your own too if you would like.
Free refreshments will be provided throughout each workshop. Plus, we will be watching and listening to all things Wizard of Oz related for oz-tastic inspiration!
The workshops are open to all ages, and will be relaxed, safe spaces where you can meet new people, get your parade outfit pride ready, and hear more about our exciting float plans!
