Join our Metro Health Community Conversation: Substance Use Disorder and Maternal Health to share, learn, and recharge with fellow health care providers!

The Community Conversation: Addressing encourages providers to look beyond a diagnosis, recognize the individual behind the condition and better understand the experiences that may affect a person’s substance use, treatment decisions and recovery.

Use of alcohol, illicit drugs and other substances affects individuals, families and communities across San Antonio and the nation, including during pregnancy. Real-life voices show how personal and different each journey can be. These stories are not just statistics. These are real stories of strength and resilience through difficult times.

Metro Health invites health care providers to an impactful, in-person luncheon centered on Substance Use Disorder and Pregnancy. Come experience a powerful storytelling video series centering on the lived experiences of three San Antonio women with past substance use disorder.

  • Gain actionable insights to reduce stigma in clinical and community settings that foster safer healthcare engagement and sustainable recovery support.
  • Network with fellow health care providers over a complimentary lunch and discover how Metro Health partners with professionals like you to drive measurable and compassionate change. Take our survey and provide your feedback.
