Due to overwhelming interest in our Meteor Night Hike, WE ARE NOW REQUIRING REGISTRATION.
Our main concern is parking space. So please note, that ONLY ONE PERSON PER CAR NEEDS TO BE REGISTERED. Not everyone in a family needs to be registered as long as someone in the car is! Carpooling is highly recommended.
Please remember that viewing of meteors is not guaranteed. It might be too cloudy, it might not be dark enough, it might be too early. We are going to TRY to see them and enjoy the park at night.
Join us as we enjoy the park at night and try to see the Perseid Meteor Showers. We will meet at the Covered Bridge Parking lot and walk approximately .75 miles to set up in a field to enjoy the show. Walk will be a total of 1.5 miles and is not stroller friendly.
Bring a chair or blanket to sit on that is easy to carry.
Bring binoculars to try to see the Meteor Shower.
If you are bringing a flashlight, please try to make sure it has a red cover for the light to help the wildlife.
Leashed well behaved dogs are welcome.
