Boiling Point 2026The Erie County Metal Militia will be hosting the Boiling Point powerlifting meet again this year at the Warren, PA YMCA! The meet will be held on September 5th, and we are excited to announce some additional events to the meet.
Powerlifting – Full Power (Squat, Bench, Deadlift), Ironman (Bench, Deadlift), Bench only, or Deadlift only. Raw and equipped lifting are permitted. Signups can be found at https://www.metalmilitiapowerlifting.com/event-details/metal-militia-boiling-point-2026. This will be sanctioned through the Metal Militia Powerlifting Federation, but this year we are also allowing athletes to signup as non-sanctioned. Athletes wanting their numbers to be sanctioned so that they show up on their OpenPowerlifting page will need to purchase a Metal Militia card. Sanctioned competitors need to follow the Metal Militia rulebook which can be found at https://www.metalmilitiapowerlifting.com. 50 lifters max. 1st and 2nd place awards for each class. Additional awards for best lifter and biggest lifts.
Strongman – Log Press (Best of 3), Axle Bar Wagon Wheel Deadlift (Best of 3), 3 Bag Carry and over Bar (Fastest Time), Drum Toss (Distance), and Grenade Dinnie Stone Hold (Longest Time). Strongman will be sanctioned through United States Strongman. You can sign up at https://ironpodium.com/browse/event/boiling-point-2026. 50 lifters max. 1st and 2nd place awards for each class. Additional awards for biggest lifts and best times.
The Murph Workout Challenge – 1 mile run, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats, 1 mile run. Signups can be found at https://www.metalmilitiapowerlifting.com/event-details/metal-militia-boiling-point-2026. 50 competitors max. 1st through 3rd awards for men and women.
Anyone psychotic enough to want to compete across 2 or more events, we will work with you to make sure you get your lifts in.
We will have some incredible vendors and amazing food just like we did last year and will post updates as more details are available.
