We’re honored to partner with SuperRad Arcade Bar for a night that supports our local affiliate of the National Alliance of Mental Illness - NAMI Lynchburg. A portion of every donation at the door will go directly towards the *FREE* mental health education, advocacy, and support programs in our community that we offer, helping us reach more people who need it.
The metal scene has always been a refuge. A place where grief, anger, trauma, and survival aren’t pushed aside... but felt, understood, and expressed without shame. For many, it’s one of the only spaces where intensity is met with acceptance instead of silence.
Yet despite how deeply intertwined heavy music and mental health truly are, the metal community is often overlooked in traditional outreach efforts.
*Metal for Mental Health* is our attempt to bridge that gap, to meet people exactly where they already feel understood.
We’re deeply grateful to the artists and individuals who understand the unspoken role this music plays in people’s lives. Without them, we could not make this night happen. Together, we’re creating something that’s not just loud, but meaningful.
Taking place during Mental Health Awareness Month, this night is about more than music.
It’s about connection.
It’s about honesty.
It’s about leaving a little less alone than you came in.
