Metabolic Studio invites you to gather on Earth Day. We begin, as we often do, with food. With the simple act of sitting down together, of passing something from hand to hand. Rituals of Dining has always been grounded in this idea—that proximity can open a different kind of conversation.

In partnership with Inclusive Action for the City, the evening opens with a tasting from local street vendors. You meet the person. You taste what they’ve made. You begin to understand the structure behind it. People working locally—organizations, neighbors, practitioners—will be offering ways to get involved, and talking about their work.

As the light shifts, the focus shifts.

A screening, in collaboration with Code Pink, Earth’s Greatest Enemy, a film by Abby Martin and The Empire Files. The film traces the environmental footprint of the U.S. military—vast, largely unaccounted for, difficult to see in full. It offers no easy resolution. It asks you to sit with the scale of it.
