The show weaves a story that looks back at humanity’s long history with a changing night sky. It explores how our perspective on the dynamic Universe is being revolutionized with observatories that monitor the night sky for exciting astronomical events that change with time. They do this by collecting light across many wavelengths as well as cosmic rays, neutrinos, and gravitational waves. This program was produced by NSF NOIRLab.
Admission is $8 for adults or $7 for Parkland students, seniors 65 and older, or children 12 and under. Passes may be purchased at tickets.parkland.edu or in the lobby beginning a half-hour before the first show. Members of the Friends of the Staerkel Planetarium are admitted for free.
