Join us at Retzer Nature Center and the Hortwitz-DeRemer Planetarium for a week of merit badges! Youth ages 11-17 enrolled in the Boy Scouts of America Program will enjoy exciting, engaging nature, soil, water, and weather workshops. It’s fun, educational, and truly unforgettable!
Please arrive on time. Check-in is 8:15 a.m. Pick up times vary, see information below. Participants must provide their own snacks and lunch.

PROGRAM/TIME/COST:
Environmental Science • August 17 • 8:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. • $55 per child
Workshop covers requirements: 3a,4a,5b,6c,7b,8a,9,11
Prerequisite requirements: 1,2a,2b,10
Soil & Water Conservation • August 18 • 8:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. • $55 per child
Workshop covers requirements: 1a,1b,1c,2a-d,4a-e,5a-e,6a,6b,7d,7e
Prerequisite requirements: 3a, 3b, 3c, 6c, 6d
Weather • August 19 • 8:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. • $55 per child
Workshop covers requirements: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10b, 12
Prerequisite requirements: None
Post Workshop requirements to be completed and electronically submitted after workshop: 2 & 11
Includes Hortwitz-DeRemer Planetarium Shows

NOTE: Merit badge workshops are for youth (ages 11-17) enrolled in Scouts BSA. Some merit badges have prerequisites. All requirements must be completed prior to the final card signing at the end of the workshop. Scouts may make an appointment up to 60 days after the merit badge workshops to complete their blue card.
