Mercy Southeast will hold a FREE community health event for all ages to encourage residents to take a proactive approach to their health. Mercy will provide free screenings, adult vaccinations, demonstrations, educational materials and more for a variety of healthcare services at the Mercy Cancer Center, 789 S. Mount Auburn Road, Cape Girardeau, MO.
Mercy pharmacists will be on hand for home medication counseling, while caregivers from Mercy clinics and services will also be available with information about Mercy’s services in Southeast Missouri, including:
• Mercy Breast Center
• Mercy Cancer Center
• Mercy Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery
• Mercy General Surgery
• Mercy Fitness Centers
• Mercy Primary Care
• Mercy Therapy Services
The Cape Girardeau Fire Department will be on-site to talk fire safety and show off their fire trucks, and Southeast Missouri Food Bank will share resources on nutritional assistance and education.
The event includes giveaways such as dental kits and diapers, face painting, festive snacks, healthy food truck options, a bounce house, and even an inflatable colon and lung that kids can walk through and learn from.
