Mercury Creatives Chelmsford Masterclass: Building your Personal Brand with Fern Potter

Understanding your personal brand, how you come across to others and being able to network effectively are essential parts of relationship building and business development. Knowing how to start and maintain conversations, develop rapport, connect with new people, and pitch your ideas are skills that can be learned and built upon.
If you ever felt yourself standing on the sidelines looking out at a sea of unknown faces, not knowing where to begin or how to join a group or individual and get beyond the small talk of, “What do you do?”, or the weather, this session is for you. Fern will use her extensive experience as a former professional dancer and past work in various development roles that demanded developing partnerships for creative projects and raising substantial funding to help you to understand how to prepare your body and mind for selling yourself and making a compelling pitch.
The session will include practical techniques to help quell your nerves and improve your public speaking and is limited to no more than 20 participants to allow for presentation practice.
Following the training, participants will have the chance to pitch their project ideas for constructive feedback and development, so please come prepared with a project in mind.
