Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form Open Morning
About this Event
Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form Open Morning
Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form’s Open Morning is for current Year 11 pupils who are expecting to begin Year 12 in September 2027, together with their parents or carers.
The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about our sixth form, its academic culture, curriculum and the high expectations we have for every scholar.
Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form is a dynamic and unapologetically academic environment, bringing together highly motivated and aspirational scholars from across the city and beyond. At its core is a culture of scholarship, where diligence, discipline and intellectual curiosity are expected and celebrated.
Our purpose is clear: to secure exceptional academic outcomes and prepare scholars to progress to the most competitive universities in the UK and internationally. This is a sixth form for young people who are ambitious, willing to work hard and determined to fulfil their potential.
Scholars benefit from a rigorous and deliberately ambitious curriculum, expert teaching, small class sizes, structured study and close pastoral support. Alongside their A-level subjects, all scholars follow our Mastery Curriculum through one of our Professional Schools: Arts and Social Sciences, Finance, Law, Mathematics, Medicine and Dentistry, or STEM.
Through super-curricular study, enrichment, academic competitions, visits and professional engagement, scholars broaden their knowledge and strengthen their university applications. From the moment they join, they also benefit from a carefully designed transition and a sustained programme of preparation for Oxbridge, Russell Group, international and other highly competitive university applications.
Please arrive in good time for the advertised start. This is a scheduled event rather than a drop-in session, so attendees should be present from the beginning.
Together, we will do brilliant things.
