Mental Health Innovation Weekend (Hackathon)
About this Event
Mental Health Innovation Weekend (Hackathon)
Toronto is Canada's loneliest city. Nearly 70% of caregivers experience burnout. 60% of Canadians needing mental health support will not seek help. Together, we can find a better way.
Over one weekend, participants are invited to form teams, develop an idea, and pitch for a chance to win a cash prize. Top ideas will be implemented in West Toronto to improve mental wellness! Bring a team or come as an individual, all are welcome!
Focus areas:
- Social isolation
- Caregiver burnout
- Mental health stigma
About the organizers:
The West Toronto Ontario Health Team is a collective of 44 health and social service organizations working to improve population health outcomes through health system integration.
The Partners for Better Care Council is a group of West Toronto residents dedicated to improving health and wellness and advocating for patients, families, and caregivers accessing the health and social care system.
