Many times individuals will reach out to their faith leaders when initially seeking help with a mental illness, substance use problem, or other behavioral health needs. This session is designed for Community Faith Leaders to learn more about Mental Health and local resources.Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an in-depth course providing case
studies, video role-playing, and other interactive components for a deeper look at mental illnesses and substance use disorders. You will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
