About this Event

“Mental Health Across Vulnerable Populations:
Supporting Older Adults, Women” and Persons Living with HIV/AIDS”

This 3-hour continuing education workshop is designed to increase awareness and strengthen professional skills of social workers in addressing the mental health needs of elderly individuals, women, and persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Participants will explore the emotional, social, and psychological challenges commonly experienced within these populations, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, stigma, isolation, and barriers to care.

Through discussion, case examples, and evidence-based practices, the workshop will emphasize culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches to care.
