MENOKIN - 1769 home of Frances Lightfoot Lee

Learn about the most engaging preservation project in America! Menokin was the 1769 home of Frances Lightfoot Lee, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The home fell into ruin but is being saved through great effort by the Menokin Foundation. The missing portions of the original house are being replaced with architectural glass. Members of the Menokin preservation staff will be the featured speakers at the Annual Membership meeting of the Fauquier Historical Society. The event is FREE and open to the public.
