We're gathering to tackle our mending piles, to strengthen our skills, to share tips, and to BUILD COMMUNITY 🪡❤🙌
Any and all handiwork is welcome - don't have a project or any experience? We've got items for you to practice on!
We'll also have a Patching Workshop for beginners! We'll go over how to hand-sew basic patches on woven items, no previous sewing experience required. A variety of thread, needles, and pins will be available for use, as well as scissors and some scrap fabric for the patches. Folks are also welcome to bring any of their own supplies if they want to.
All are welcome and we're meeting twice a month so it's easy to fit into your schedule. Every month we'll be meeting on a Thursday from 5:30-7:30 PM and on a Saturday from 2-4 PM - come when you can or join us every time, whatever works!
We'll be gathering in our Third Place Event Space next to the shop so the events are not weather dependent. A Third Place is a social setting separate from the home (first place) and work (second place), where folks can gather and connect with others. We already have such a wonderful community and we are so looking forward to more opportunities to connect with you 🥰
