Backgammon Tournament – September 13 at Mench Café

Player Arrival / Check-in: 10:00 AM
Late Arrival Policy: Players arriving after 10:15 AM will automatically receive a loss for Round 1
Tournament Start: 10:30 AM sharp
Format: Traditional Backgammon – 6-Round Swiss Format
Registration Fee: $40 + tax per player
Lunch: Pizza provided after Round 3
Backgammon Boards: Provided by Mench Café — no need to bring your own
Location: Mench Café, North Vancouver
Join us for a full day of competitive and social backgammon at Mench Café.
The tournament will be played in a 6-round Swiss format, giving all players the opportunity to continue competing throughout the event instead of being eliminated after a single loss. As the tournament progresses, players will be matched with opponents who have similar results, creating balanced and competitive games in every round.
All participants must arrive by 10:00 AM for check-in and tournament preparation. The first round will begin promptly at 10:30 AM.
After the third round, we will take a lunch break and pizza will be provided to all participants before continuing with the remaining rounds.
Mench Café will provide all backgammon boards for the tournament, so there is no need to bring your own board.
Whether you are an experienced tournament player or simply enjoy traditional backgammon and friendly competition, this event is a great opportunity to play multiple matches, meet other players, and enjoy a full day of strategy, competition, and good company.
