About this Event
What is Art? It's subjective. Art could be a sunset. The friends we made along the way. Or even a comedy show. What is bad art? Also subjective. It could be a mustache on the Mona Lisa, a live laugh love sign, or a comedy show. Be the judge yourself by coming to Men in Comedy's All Banksys: A Bad art auction
The first part of the night will be an all femme standup show and the second part will be a bad art auction. Given that is an art auction, there is an optional black tie dress code! If you would like to, please dress up in your finest clothes. If there's a dress or suit you've only worn once because you've never had anywhere to wear it to, this is your moment!
If you would like to particpate in the auction, please bring a piece of "bad" art for other audience members to bid on. The money you win from the auction will be all yours. We are asking that the art be truly truly bad and nothing you have an emotional connection to.
The event will be 21+ at the wonderful Dorchester Brewing Company, known for their wonderful array of drinks and delectable treats from M&M BBQ. There will be no outside food or drinks allowed. You can browse the menu for options here:

Art Critics are Raving
"Water lilies are an extension of my life. Without the water, the lilies cannot live. As I am without art. Specifically standup comedy. No one knows this but I'm a huge fan. Why did the frog cross the water lily? Because there was a scorpion on his back. ha ha ha, look at me laughing at my own joke. What if I got up there....That would be so crazy, unless"-Claude Monet, famous painter of Water Lilies
"I feel there is nothing more artistic than to love people, standup comics especially. I love going to their shows. Supporting local art. Hearing their lil bits. Starry Night was actually painted from the view from a comedy show. Greatest night of my life"-Vincent Van Gogh, famous painter of Starry Night
"Nothing is absolute, everything changes, everything moves, everything revolves, everything flies and goes away-Except a Men in Comedy show. There's always a guarantee that Men in Comedy will put on great a show. I went once, with my heart in hand, and laughed so hard I dropped it on the floor. I dropped my heart on the floor and one of the comics picked it up and put it back in my chest. My. It beat for the first time in years. Comedy. What a remarkable field. I do love comedy, especially my friend Claude Monet's standup."-Frida Kahlo, famous painter of The Two Fridas
