Loving-Kindness, Resilience and Self-Compassion in the Face of Cognitive DeclineAnyone who has concerns about cognitive changes for themselves or their loved ones is welcome to join us for this morning retreat focused on the joy, faith and even humor found in the later stages of neurodegenerative disease. Sharon Lukert will draw on her recently released book, “Until My Memory Fails Me,” to explore the intersection of meditation practice with real-world concerns surrounding cognitive decline. She’ll introduce several “on-the-spot” practices that can sustain the connection with our own basic goodness and support the integration of the disease process into a part of an ongoing spiritual path.
“My ultimate aspiration is to inspire a sense of personal meaning and purpose, and encourage each of you who are joining me on this journey to embrace this life-changing disease with as much ease and grace as possible.” – Sharon Lukert
