Join Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park on the Memorial Day Hike. This hike is a great way for you or your immediate family to honor Memorial Day and remember those that have given everything for our country.The hike will take place at the park’s Commissary Store at 11am Monday, May 25th. The hike will be guided to the cemetery where hikers are encouraged to attend the 2026 Memorial Day Ceremony at 12 pm. The return hike back to the park will be self-guided.
Hikers will leave the park and take a two-track road to the lawn of the Veterans Cemetery. This route will be moderately level and stroller friendly. Pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times and picked up after. The hike will be approximately 1.25 miles (.45 to the cemetery). Participates are encouraged to bring a blanket for the ceremony since seating will be limited.
The hike will begin at the Commissary Store. Please plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early for some shopping and coffee bar purchases.
Event is FREE with a ND State Parks Annual Pass, or $7 vehicle registration at the entrance to the park. Don't have a ND State Parks Annual Pass, you can make that purchase at the park or online at www.parkrec.nd.gov #visitmandan #memorialday
