MEMORIAL DAY 2025
The Chapter has finalized plans for Memorial Day Activities 2025.
MAY 23 Hospitality Suite 3 p.m. Hospitality Suite opens Sheraton Pentagon City. We have a block of rooms set aside for $131/night (plus taxes). Reservations can be made by using the link below through May 9th. After that date, the rate may or may not be available. If you book through our block parking will be $10 versus rate of $34.
May 24th
9:00 a.m. We will visit the Vietnam, Korean and WWII memorials on the morning of the 24th. Bus leaving from the Sheraton Pentagon City 9 a.m.
WREATH LAYING 101ST MEMORIAL 3 p.m
3:15 PM, Wreath Laying Tomb of Unknowns
DINNER 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Pentagon City. Cost of dinner is $55. Attendees are encouraged to sponsor an active-duty troop.
May 25th
Hospitality suite open. No formal plans.
As some of you know, the National Museum of the U.S. Army opened at Fort Belvoir. The Museum is currently open but if you wish to visit you should try to get tickets ASAP.
If you intend to be in town over Memorial, or anytime you can find information on the Museum at www.theNMUSA.org.
May 26th
Participate in the National Memorial Day Parade on Constitution Ave. Rendezvous at 1: p.m. Parade starts at 2.
For those of you that do not want to participate in parade and only want to watch, there is a National Service at the VN wall at 1 p.m. and you will have time to walk over to watch the parade after.
