Hello Word Dancers,
Let's Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Pagan-Fletcher Restoration! Join us for this special Memoir-Poetry Writing Workshop, and Step into the story with me -- Paula Curci.
We will meet at the Valley Stream Historical Society’s historic Pagan-Fletcher Restoration for a unique writing and journaling experience connecting personal expression with the history of this landmark building.
During this hands-on workshop, you’ll:
1. Engage in several guided writing exercises to help you bridge our collective and your own history into a crafted poem, a micro-memoir, or a reflective journal entry.
2. Participate in a self-guided tour of our historic building.
3. Learn more about Donald Stites Fairchild, author, scriptwriter, and member of the third and final family that lived at the Restoration, along with other pieces of Valley Stream History.
4. Receive a free 8 X 5 Kraft notebook journal --- while supplies last.
Whether you're a seasoned writer, a lover of history, or someone looking to dive deeper into self-expression, this program will help you create meaningful work rooted in self and place.
