Member's Wild Ramble: Stirley

As part of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's 80th Birthday celebrations, join us for these member-exclusive rambles and delve further into our nature reserves.

We'll be starting the day with a talk on some of the work that we've been undertaking on our reserves and going on a walk to discover more about the wildlife on reserve and in the surrounding area.

Drinks and refreshments included.

A ccessibility and terrain

Network of accessible footpaths throughout the reserve. Circular route to Castle Hill (with some road crossings) via public rights of way. Trail to Upper Park Wood which has magnificent bluebells in the spring.

The car park and Cre8 Barn are suitable for wheelchair access. Public rights of way around the reserve can often be steep with uneven or muddy ground.

What to bring/wear

This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! Sturdy footwear is always recommended

Waterproof clothing/insect repellent (weather dependent), torch (night event), binoculars.

Toilets and catering

There are toilets, accessible toilets and a picnic area on site. Please feel free to bring food and drink with you, but please dispose of rubbish responsibly.

Parking

There is limited onsite parking available. The onsite car park is reserved for event attendees only. Visitors to the reserve are encouraged to park at Castle Hill (bright.places.tulip or HD4 6TA)

Cancellation and refunds

In the situation that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust needs to cancel an event we will be in touch regarding your booking via email and our Supporter Services team will process the refund of your tickets as soon as possible. Please allow up to 5 working days for this to happen. If you, or members of your party, are unable to attend your booked event, you are eligible for a refund up to 7 days before the event date.
