When did cats and dogs begin to appear in art? What type of symbolism do these animals represent? How has their representation changed over time? Using well-known works of art and artworks from the FIA’s permanent collection, Director and Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Sarah Kohn and Associate Curator Rachael Holstege will discuss the representation of cats and dogs in art throughout history.
